Professor Dr. Sombat Thamrongthanyawong, President of Walailak University, presided over the ceremony, with a large number of executives, faculty members, staff, students, distinguished guests, and the general public participating.<\/p>\n<p data-sourcepos=\"7:1-7:395\">The event included Brahman religious rituals at the Tum Pang Ancient Site ceremonial grounds and Buddhist religious rituals at the Southern Region Arts and Culture Learning Center Building, along with a &#8220;Nora Dance Offering to Tum Pang Ancestor&#8221; performance by the Walailak Nora Training Center. Participants then jointly offered food in traditional Thai tiered containers (pinto) to five monks.<\/p>\n<p data-sourcepos=\"7:1-7:395\"><a href=\"https:\/\/dcg.wu.ac.th\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/17416810367016-2.jpg\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-13743\" src=\"https:\/\/dcg.wu.ac.th\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/17416810367016-2.jpg\" alt=\"tumpang\" width=\"2048\" height=\"1365\" srcset=\"https:\/\/dcg.wu.ac.th\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/17416810367016-2.jpg 2048w, https:\/\/dcg.wu.ac.th\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/17416810367016-2-1536x1024.jpg 1536w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 2048px) 100vw, 2048px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p data-sourcepos=\"9:1-9:451\">The Tum Pang Ancient Site is located within Walailak University and is revered by the Walailak community and surrounding residents who believe that a sacred entity, &#8220;Tum Pang Ancestor,&#8221; protects the site.
