The event also included the presentation of awards to honor outstanding personnel and distinguished alumni, marking the 33rd anniversary of the university&#8217;s establishment.<\/p>\n<p data-sourcepos=\"5:1-5:683\">On March 28, 2025, at 8:00 AM, Professor Dr. Sombat Thamrongthanyawong, President of Walailak University, and Mr. Theerachai Chemnasiri, Chairman of the University Council, presided over the merit-making ceremony. This involved offering alms and dried food to 33 Buddhist monks and participating in a Buddhist merit dedication ceremony to honor Professor Dr. Vichit Srisa-an, a significant contributor to the university, as well as deceased faculty, staff, and students. The ceremony also included a Duaa prayer in Islam and a Christian blessing for the prosperity of the university&#8217;s administrators, personnel, and students on the occasion of Walailak
