Today (4 July 2024), Professor Dr. Sombat Thamrongthanyawong, Acting President of Walailak University, led the executives, lecturers, staff and students of Walailak University to join the ceremony to offer blessings and alms on the occasion of Her Royal Highness Princess Chulabhorn Walailak, Princess Srisavangavadhana Worakhattiyarajnaree’s birthday on 4 July 2024 to express loyalty and gratitude for her royal duties for the benefit of the Thai people and the country.
With Col. Suwat Thongbai, Deputy Chief of Staff of the 4th Army, Pol. Col. Aphichat Chansamret, Superintendent of Thasala Police Station, representative of the Commander of Nakhon Si Thammarat Provincial Police, Ms. Supattra Suebsom Anantapong, Senior Judge of Nakhon Si Thammarat Provincial Court, as well as student leaders and representatives of government agencies Private sectors and people around the university joined at the main auditorium, Thaiburi Building, Walailak University.
On this occasion, participants watched a video of His Majesty’s royal duties for the benefit of the Thai people. Then, representatives of various units within Walailak University, the president of the administration organization, the student organization, the president of the Walailak University student council, representatives of the Walailak Demonstration Community, as well as government and private sectors, jointly offered royal homage in front of the portrait, respectively.
After that, Professor Dr. Sombat Thamrongthanyawong, the chairman of the ceremony, presented a floral offering tray, opened a flower tray, read a blessing, and Walailak University students danced to offer blessings in front of the portrait of Her Royal Highness Princess Chulabhorn Walailak, the Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn, and jointly signed a blessing book for Her Royal Highness to have good health and happiness, and to be a source of inspiration for the Thai people forever.
