On August 12, 2024, Associate Professor Dr. Warit Jotchit, Vice President of Walailak University, along with university administrators, faculty members, and staff, participated in the royal tribute ceremony, wreath-laying, and candle-lighting ceremony to offer blessings to Her Majesty Queen Sirikit, The Queen Mother, on the occasion of Her Majesty’s birthday. The event took place at the Nakhon Si Thammarat City Hall grounds, in Mueang District, Nakhon Si Thammarat Province. This ceremony was held to express unwavering loyalty and profound gratitude for the boundless benevolence of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit, The Queen Mother, towards the Thai people.
On the same occasion, Dr. Mongkol Theerananon, Assistant to the President, along with staff and students from Walailak University, also participated in the ceremony held at the Tha Sala District Office Auditorium.
For August 12 of each year, which marks the birthday of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit, The Queen Mother, and is also celebrated as “Mother’s Day” in Thailand, it holds great significance for everyone. For Mother’s Day in 2024, Her Majesty Queen Sirikit, The Queen Mother, graciously bestowed the 2024 National Mother’s Day motto, which has been included in the 2024 National Mother’s Day book by the National Council on Social Welfare of Thailand under the Royal Patronage. The motto is as follows:
“Love is woven with life, nurturing another life to grow strong, weaving threads of virtue into the heart, so that children may repay their mothers by serving the land.”
