On 4 September 2024, Mr. Sritham Ratchakaew, Deputy Governor of Nakhon Si Thammarat Province, chaired a meeting to prepare for the arrival of Her Royal Highness Princess Chulabhorn Walailak, Princess Srisavangavadhana, on behalf of His Majesty the King, to grant degrees to graduates of Walailak University for the academic year 2023 at the Main Meeting Room, Thai Buri Building, Walailak University on 25 September 2024. The event was attended by Rear Admiral Anuphan Sriphan, Royal Bodyguard, Royal Ceremony Division, Bureau of the Royal Household, Professor Dr. Sombat Thamrongthanyawong, Acting President of Walailak University, Assistant Professor Dr. Phadungsak Suksard, Vice President, representatives of the Department of Public Works and Town & Country Planning, the Royal Guards, the Royal Bodyguard Police, security officers, and the Commander of Nakhon Si Thammarat Provincial Police. Representatives of the 4th Army Area and the 41st Military Circle attended the meeting in full.
This meeting was to rehearse the schedule, ceremony, prepare the venue, provide security, and ask questions. His Majesty the King graciously appointed Her Royal Highness Princess Chulabhorn Walailak, Princess Srisavangavadhana, to represent him in granting degrees to graduates of Walailak University for the academic year 2023 at the Main Auditorium, Thai Buri Building, Walailak University, Thasala District, Nakhon Si Thammarat Province on Wednesday, September 25, 2024, starting at 2:00 p.m.
This year, Walailak University had 1,867 graduates receive their degrees, 46 graduates receive honorary medals, 3 Walailak Student of the Year plaques, 1 recipient of honorary plaques, and 1 recipient of honorary pins. Outstanding Teachers, 7 persons
In this regard, Walailak University has set the date for reporting for minor rehearsals on 22-23 September 2024, the major rehearsal on 24 September 2024, and the graduation ceremony for the academic year 2023 on 25 September 2024 at Walailak University.
