Walailak University held a three-religion merit-making ceremony and a ceremony to receive royal decorations before the portrait of His Majesty King Vajiralongkorn Phra Vajiraklaochaoyuhua. The event also included the presentation of awards to honor outstanding personnel and distinguished alumni, marking the 33rd anniversary of the university’s establishment.
On March 28, 2025, at 8:00 AM, Professor Dr. Sombat Thamrongthanyawong, President of Walailak University, and Mr. Theerachai Chemnasiri, Chairman of the University Council, presided over the merit-making ceremony. This involved offering alms and dried food to 33 Buddhist monks and participating in a Buddhist merit dedication ceremony to honor Professor Dr. Vichit Srisa-an, a significant contributor to the university, as well as deceased faculty, staff, and students. The ceremony also included a Duaa prayer in Islam and a Christian blessing for the prosperity of the university’s administrators, personnel, and students on the occasion of Walailak University’s 33rd anniversary.
