Presents “ePostal” Innovation by DCG

Today (August 26, 2025), Division of Corresspondence  and General Affairs presented their innovation titled “Electronic Postal Service: ePostal”, a system for sorting and delivering mail electronically. Ms. Prapai Karnchanaichai and Mr. Thanapipat Sampantamas were the presenters at the WU Innovation Day, an event organized by the Division of Human Resources and Organization, held from August 25-27, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM at Huatapan Meeting Room, 3rd floor, Chulabhorn Vejjavat Building (Building A), Walailak University Hospital.

The Digital and Postal Office Management team, part of the Division of Corresspondence  and General Affairs, developed the ePostal system by leveraging and adapting Google programs to replace traditional, inefficient work methods. The previous system faced issues such as delays, multiple steps, delivery errors to incorrect departments, and excessive paper consumption.

After its successful development and implementation, the ePostal system has significantly streamlined the process of sorting and delivering mail to various departments within the university. It has reduced operational time and steps, simplified workflows, and lowered various operational costs for the university, including paper and man-hours. The system also allows for instant online tracking of delivery status and contributes to a reduction in greenhouse gas emissions.

Objectives:

  1. To solve the problem of delays in manually recording mail information on paper.
  2. To correct errors in sorting and delivering mail to the wrong departments.
  3. To develop a digital innovation that replaces traditional work processes, reducing steps and increasing the speed of postal services.
  4. To establish data standards and accuracy, minimizing operational errors.
  5. create transparency and convenience, allowing recipients to track their parcels themselves.

The event was well-attended by personnel from various departments, and a large contingent from the  Division of Corresspondence  and General Affairs was present to show support for the presenters.
