On September 5, 2025, Ms. Jiraporn Amatayakul, Deputy Governor of Nakhon Si Thammarat Province, chaired a preparatory meeting to welcome Her Royal Highness Princess Chulabhorn Krom Phra Srisavangavadhana, who will preside over the 2024 graduation ceremony at Walailak University on behalf of His Majesty the King. The ceremony is scheduled for September 26, 2025, at the main auditorium of the Thai Buri Building.
The meeting was attended by a royal advance party, including Rear Admiral Anuphan Siriphan, Royal Aide-de-Camp from the Bureau of the Royal Household; Associate Professor Dr. Suwit Wutthasuttimethawee and Assistant Professor Dr. Padungsak Suksaad, Vice Presidents of Walailak University; representatives from the Department of Public Works and Town and Country Planning; the Royal Guards; the Royal Aide-de-Camp Police Officers; security officers; the Commander of the Nakhon Si Thammarat Provincial Police; and representatives from the 4th Army Region and MThB.41.
The purpose of the meeting was to review the schedule, ceremony procedures, venue readiness, and security measures. The group also addressed any questions and concerns. His Majesty the King has graciously appointed Her Royal Highness Princess Chulabhorn to preside over the royal degree presentation ceremony for Walailak University graduates of the 2024 academic year at the main auditorium of the Thai Buri Building in Tha Sala District, Nakhon Si Thammarat Province, on Monday, September 26, 2025.
This year’s ceremony will honor several individuals: one recipient of an honorary Doctor of Philosophy degree, one recipient of an honorary Master of Education degree, 14 doctoral graduates, 40 master’s graduates, and 2,136 bachelor’s graduates. Additionally, three individuals will receive the “Walailak Scholar of the Year” plaque, two will receive the “Kittikarn” plaque, three will receive the “Chulabhorn Golden Pin,” and two will receive the “Outstanding Teacher” commendation pin.
