On August 25, 2026, the Correspondence and General Affairs Walailak University, participated in the opening ceremony of WU Innovation SDG plus 2026, held at the Phattharathamaporn Room, Walailak University Medical Center Hospital. The event was held from August 25–27, 2026, providing a platform for university units to showcase innovative projects, exchange knowledge, and share approaches to improving organizational work processes.
As part of the event, the Administration and Correspondence Section presented its innovation project entitled “Smart Hospitality and Expense Management System.” The system was developed to improve the management of hospitality services and expense reporting through an automated and intelligent approach, supporting more efficient, convenient, and systematic operations.
The innovation focuses on transforming existing work processes through the application of digital technology and modern management concepts. It aims to reduce repetitive procedures, lessen the workload associated with document preparation and data compilation, and facilitate the monitoring and verification of hospitality-related expenses. These improvements contribute to more efficient use of university resources and help enhance the overall quality of administrative operations. The development of the system also reflects the Section’s commitment to applying digital technology to administrative and correspondence processes. By organizing information systematically and supporting more accurate and accessible data management, the system can contribute to effective monitoring, reporting, and decision-making, while also providing opportunities for further development and expansion to other related work processes in the future.
The WU Innovation SDG plus 2026 event is part of Walailak University’s approach to organizational performance evaluation. The University has established evaluation guidelines for units at the level of centers, institutes, sections, units, offices, or equivalent organizations, as well as schools, colleges, and graduate schools. One of the key indicators emphasizes the development of new work innovations that address problems arising from previous operations and/or improve the efficiency of organizational processes.
The indicator places particular importance on newly developed organizational projects, outstanding achievements, empirical innovations, and process innovations, with each unit expected to develop at least one system, process, or work product as part of the organization’s performance evaluation.
Participation in WU Innovation SDG plus 2026 provides the Administration and Correspondence Section with an important opportunity to showcase an innovation developed from routine work and transformed into a practical solution. It also encourages knowledge and experience sharing among university units and promotes a culture of continuous improvement.
Through initiatives such as the Smart Hospitality and Expense Management System, the Administration and Correspondence Section continues to support Walailak University’s efforts to enhance administrative efficiency, embrace digital transformation, and strengthen innovation-driven and sustainable organizational development.
