On February 25, 2026, Ms. Sopida Phatthong, Head of the Administration and Correspondence Affairs, along with Ms. Phutthamon Thongmee, General Administration Officer from Walailak University, attended a preparatory meeting for the Royal Sandalwood Flower Offering Ceremony. The meeting was held at the Srivijaya Meeting Room, 5th Floor, Nakhon Si Thammarat Provincial Hall.
Following the Ministry of Interior’s directive and the resolutions from the Committee for the Royal Cremation Ceremony of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit the Queen Mother (Meeting No. 1/2026), the Ministry of Interior has been designated as the primary agency responsible for organizing provincial sandalwood flower offering ceremonies for the public.
To ensure the seamless execution of the ceremony in Nakhon Si Thammarat, various agencies have been appointed to the organizing committee, with Walailak University serving as a member of the Steering Committee for this historic event.
