On 3 July 2026, Professor Dr. Sombat Thamrongthanyawong, President of Walailak University, presided over a ceremony to offer royal birthday blessings and an alms-giving ceremony in celebration of the birthday anniversary of Her Royal Highness Princess Chulabhorn Krom Phra Srisavangavadhana, observed on 4 July 2026. The ceremony was attended by Mr. Teerapong Chuaychu, Vice Governor of Nakhon Si Thammarat Province, university executives, faculty members, staff, students, representatives from government and private organizations, and members of the surrounding communities. The event was held to express loyalty and gratitude for Her Royal Highness’s unwavering dedication and invaluable contributions to the nation and the Thai people. The ceremony took place at the Busarakham Conference Hall, Walailak University Natural History Museum.
On this occasion, Walailak University students performed a traditional Thai dance in honor of Her Royal Highness before her royal portrait. Representatives of university divisions, student leaders, members of the Walailak Pattana Demonstration Community, and guests from external organizations respectfully presented royal tribute offerings.
Professor Dr. Sombat Thamrongthanyawong then paid homage by presenting the ceremonial floral offering, opened the floral cone, delivered the royal blessing, and led all participants in signing the book of well wishes. The ceremony concluded with heartfelt prayers for Her Royal Highness’s good health, happiness, and continued well-being as a beloved member of the Thai Royal Family.
